Clinic Assistant – Veterinary Medical Clinic

This position plays an integral role in assisting the veterinary staff & technicians in the clinical/surgical treatment of animals in the clinic. This individual should have animal handling/restraining experience, experience in a veterinary hospital setting, be extraordinary at establishing and maintaining strong working relationships, and maintaining  a positive and professional public image at all times. Must have excellent customer service and team skills and be able to work well in a fast paced environment.

Director, Animal Cruelty Team

Are you committed to helping abused and neglected animals?  We are seeking an experienced animal welfare manager to direct and lead our Animal Cruelty Task Force in investigating animal cruelty, and responding to animals affected by natural disasters.  Responsibilities include working with government and law enforcement representatives to enforce animal welfare laws; directing task force operations and maintaining a positive, professional relationship with media personnel. Qualifications: 4 yr. degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.  Animal handling skills, computer proficiency, budget management skills and media experience are also required.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. 

Statewide - Animal Cruelty Investigator  - Southeast, MO
We have an immediate opportunity for an Animal Cruelty Investigator, formerly called, Humane Officer.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate and trustworthy individual to respond to calls in  the Southeast quadrant of Missouri These individuals respond to calls regarding the welfare of animals, rescue animals in disasters and distress, conduct cruelty Investigations, educate pet and livestock owners, and promote responsible care for Missouri’s animals. Must have previous animal handling experience and/or police, animal control,  investigative or related, work experience; excellent written and verbal skills, knowledge of responsible pet ownership, and a desire to help abused animals! 

Ranch Assistant - Part Time - Weekends
Longmeadow Rescue Ranch – Union, MO
Do you LOVE horses? Why not get paid to work with them?
Longmeadow Rescue Ranch has horses, goats, sheep, birds and pigs that need your care and attention. The job entails feeding, watering, turning out animals, and cleaning stalls and living quarters. You must be 18 or older, have previous horse handling experience, and be available to work weekends. Adoption Center Assistant Supervisor

This position plays an integral role in interacting with the public using a strong customer service orientation. Will also monitor and coordinate activities of the Adoption Center including supervising, training and assisting staff; monitoring daily work schedules; ensuring the quality control of all operations: adoptions, health, sanitation, etc. Meets and talks with the public. Adoption Counselor - Full Time

We are seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills to work as full time Adoption Counselor. This position provides animals in the Adoption Center with proper care and attention including feeding, sanitation, and medical procedures, as well as helping match them with their forever homes. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills, have an understanding of various breeds of dogs and cat temperaments, and be able to work well in a fast paced environment. Work related animal care experience is preferred.

Receiving Desk - Part Time (weekends, +)

The Adoption Center is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills to operate the receiving desk to receive animals and provide information to customers. Must at all times maintain a positive and professional public image. Will operate computer and complete forms related to the receiving, holding, adoption, disposition and medical treatment of all animal transactions. Handles payments, cleans reception areas, provides food, water, and bedding to all animals received, and replenishes all supplies in use at Adoption Center desk. Excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, animal handling experience required.

RVT - E room Tech
Chesterfield Valley
The Valley is seeking an experienced registered vet tech to work in our Adoption Center examination room. This position conducts routine exams, lab tests, administers medications and maintains animal health including treatment of sick and injured animals as directed by our veterinarians. This position requires previous experience in a shelter or veterinary clinic setting. Applicants must also possess organizational skills, have effective communication skills and be computer literate.


Veterinary Technician, Licensed

The Humane Society of Missouri is currently seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to work at our AAHA certified Veterinary Medical Centers. This position maintains animal health programs including treatment of sick and injured animals as directed by our veterinarians. This position requires a veterinary technician graduate with a current state license. Applicants must possess organizational skills, have effective communication skills and be computer literate.
