R.V.T - Licensed Veterinary Technician

Vet Med Center- Maryland Heights, Chesterfield Valley, Macklind

This position maintains animal health including treating sick and injured animals as directed by our veterinarians in the Veterinary Medical Center.  Also administers treatments and processes laboratory specimens as directed by veterinarians; Fills medication orders; Maintains pharmacy stock; Orders medications and special food; assists Chief of Staff; Maintains medical record transcripts; Supports clinic assistants as needed. This position requires a veterinary technician graduate with a current license in the state of Missouri. Applicants must possess organizational and computer skills, and have effective communication skills.

Clinic Desk Clerk

This position requires someone with excellent customer service skills and knowledge of animal health care in addition to being detail-oriented and effective at multi-tasking. Responsibilities include: assisting clients, answering questions, processing payments and transactions, maintaining files, issuing rabies tags/licenses, and maintaining the cleanliness of clerical area and equipment.

Clinic Assistant

This position plays an integral role in assisting the veterinary staff & technicians in the clinical/surgical treatment of animals in the clinic. This individual should have animal handling/restraining experience, experience in a veterinary hospital setting, be extraordinary at establishing and maintaining strong working relationships, and maintain a positive and professional public image at all times. Must have excellent customer service and team skills and be able to work well in a fast paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced vet tech who is licensed in Missouri to work in our Adoption Center examination room. This position conducts routine exams, lab tests, administers medications and maintains animal health including treatment of sick and injured animals as directed by our veterinarians. Previous experience in a shelter or veterinary clinic setting is required. Applicants must also possess organizational skills, have effective communication skills and be computer literate.

Assistant Animal Health Tech - Part time

These individuals provide animals in the Adoption Center with proper care and attention including feeding, watering, kennel sanitation, and medical procedures. Qualified candidates will have previous experience in animal care and proper animal handling; must have drive for excellent customer service, and excellent communication skills. Work related animal care experience preferred.


Adoption Center Supervisor

Seeking a professional in people management to supervise and coordinate the activities and operations within the Adoption Center.  Not just an ordinary supervisory position, we are looking for a LEADER!  This individual must exhibit confidence in themselves and others, and inspire and motivate others to perform well. Must be a positive influence that inspires actions, respect and trust, displays passion and optimism and contributes to building a positive team spirit.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, and directing work; appraising performance; managing employees; problem resolution; ensuring the quality control of operations; responding promptly to customer needs; preparing / maintaining reports, records and procedural manuals. Qualifications:  H.S. diploma or GED; 1-3 years related experience and/or training,  excellent communication skills, proficient in computer operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lead Animal Adoption Counselor- Maryland Heights
Animal Adoption Counselors take care of dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets while they wait for their new families to take them home. We are looking for people who have animal handling experience and excellent customer service skills, and are passionate about helping animals find their forever homes! Responsibilities include feeding, watering, walking, kennel sanitation, and general care of the animals. Previous experience in animal care is preferred.

Ranch Assistant

Longmeadow Rescue Ranch has horses, goats, sheep, birds and pigs that need your care and attention. The job entails feeding, watering, turning out animals, and cleaning stalls and living quarters. You must be 18 or older, have previous horse handling experience, and be available to work weekends. Director, Animal Cruelty Team

Are you committed to helping abused and neglected animals?  We are seeking an experienced animal welfare manager to direct and lead our Animal Cruelty Task Force in investigating animal cruelty, and responding to animals affected by natural disasters.  Responsibilities include working with government and law enforcement representatives to enforce animal welfare laws; directing task force operations and maintaining a positive, professional relationship with media personnel. Qualifications: 4 yr. degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.  Animal handling skills, computer proficiency, budget management skills and media experience are also required.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. 

 

Communications and Special Events Assistant

We are currently seeking a communications and special events assistant. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual possessing the ability to develop marketing and communications materials, write for the website and publications, and help implement special events. Qualified candidates will possess an Associate's degree and up to one year of experience, and must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and design software. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
