Our e-tails monthly Ranch Animal
Hi, my name is Miss Piggy!
I am a 7-year-old Pot Bellied Pig who came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in July of 2008. My former owners brought me to Longmeadow because our house had become foreclosed upon and they could no longer care for me or my canine siblings. When I arrived at Longmeadow I was considered obese from my days without exercise and eating dog food. My belly would drag on the ground when I walked and my joints hurt from the extra weight. The folks here have since changed my ways and I’m a healthier pig for it.
Today, I have lost about 75 pounds and I don’t miss it a bit. I am much more mobile and I get exercise to help keep me that way. I’m also fed food created specifically for “moi” and I get snacks of fresh produce. I have very dry skin so when I can’t make it to the spa, the staff at Longmeadow use baby oil to keep my skin soft. I am a very social girl who lives in the Playhouse with lots of other animals like ducks, geese, and other pigs. I always make it a point to greet all visitors, especially if they have food and will thank them with little wet kisses. I’m ready to have a home where I play and wallow and be your perfect little pig.
